Lucky Motor Corporation held a Kia Experience Day 2026, opening the gates for the public to witness Kia’s state-of-the-art manufacturing hub. Its automated production unit promises long-term excellence with world-class standards.
The tour included a comprehensive briefing of the plant by the Kia team, showing all the steps from frame building to the final product.

Reliability Begins with Solid Foundations
The first phase of Kia’s Manufacturing includes building body structures, using the CKD parts with spot-welding technology. This stage incorporates the Floor Sub Assembly, Engine Compartment, and more. Each vehicle body contains approximately 4,500 weld spots, and half of them are achieved at Kia’s manufacturing plant.

At this point, it ensures to meet the 95% of Kia’s global quality KPIs, which shows why Kia cars are so durable.
Automated Paint Shop
The paint shop is mostly automated and requires minimal human involvement. It undergoes various processes, including sealer coating and primer application, which promise durability and long-term use.
Powered by German technology from Dürr, the robotic painting system has 4 robots for base coat and 2 robots for clear coat. Know that the popular and automotive brands, such as Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW, use the same Durr German robotic paint technology for their manufacturing.
That’s how Kia provides top-class paint quality.
Bringing Kia To Life
Now, the vehicle comes to life at the assembly point. The Trim Line includes wiring harness installation in the vehicle, followed by the assembly of interior components such as glasses, carpets, instrument panel, panoramic sunroof, and more. This is the localization of the auto parts where the infotainment systems are assembled and tested in collaboration with Mortrex.

Now this assembled vehicle passes to the Chassis Line via the Electrified Monorail System (EMS). Here, even a bolt meets the global standards. Then comes the Final Line, for wheel and tire installations, seats and steering wheel, bumper installations, etc.
Furthermore, the localization of Seat Manufacturing uses a Robotic PU foaming machine. It produces dual-harness foam in a single shot, promising quality and comfort.
The Kia Localization Unit, with its excellent technology, incorporates fast production; for instance, one bumper of a car only takes 90 seconds to build. How amazing!
Infotainment systems and the hardware system are developed at the designated software centers. They are not just installed directly, but are passed through 20+ checkpoints to ensure everything is error-free, and the final product meets the global standards. Each vehicle manufactured at LMC passes through 100% testing and inspection.
Takeaway from Kia Experience Day

We recently had an opportunity to visit the Experience Day 2026 by Kia Motors. The plant tour was completely insightful, showcasing a step-by-step journey of vehicle manufacturing. The highlight of the day was the Test Drive of the vehicles, which made us experience the comfortable and smooth Kia rides. This practical experience was a perfect way for a deeper appreciation of the process that goes into manufacturing.
Overall, the Kia Experience Day 2026 left a strong impression on the visitors, who got to see the journey of a vehicle from CKD parts to assembled vehicles. Each Kia is made with world-class standards and goes through strict quality checks to ensure quality and durability.
Next time you see a Kia on the road, remember the exciting and innovative manufacturing journey it goes through.
