- Government Hajj Quota: 120,000 pilgrims (approx)
- Private Hajj Quota: 60,000 pilgrims (approx)
Road To Makkah Scheme
The minister also mentioned that the 38,000 pilgrims will travel from Islamabad to Saudia under the Road to Makkah scheme. Currently, this scheme is only for Islamabad and Karachi, but chances are it will also be extended to Lahore as well. Under this facility, the pilgrims will be able to complete the Saudi immigration process before leaving Pakistan. This will help them save time upon arrival at Saudia.
Besides this, the mandatory Hajj training is also going on nationwide, which is made compulsory for registered pilgrims. The training includes the Hajj rituals, travel procedure and preparations, health precautions, and safety awareness.
