Vivo has introduced the Y400 recently and it’s a tale of ups and downs. Its battery and water resistance are impressive but what about the performance and cameras? Here, I will show you the VIvo Y400 price in Pakistan, upgrades, downgrades, and see if it’s worth the price.
Vivo Y400 Price in Pakistan
The price of Vivo Y400 is Rs. 64,999. It may be available at a lower price as some retailers provide discounts. Now, let’s see if it’s worth the price or not!

The Vivo Y400 has the iconic Y series design with dual camera setup on the rear side along with a ring LED light. The highlight of this mobile is its IP68/IP69 dust tight and water resistance rating that makes it one of the best water resistant mobiles within this price range. It has one tap, water out feature that ejects water using micro vibrations. Not only this, but it also has a MIL-STD-810H compliant rating that makes it tougher than its predecessor, the Y200 (in Pakistan).
If performance is your concern, the Vivo Y400 might not impress you a lot. It has the Snapdragon 685 chipset which is not enough at the price point it’s being offered. This chipset scores nearly 348,700 on AnTuTu V10 which is less than the commonly found Mediatek Helio G99 chipset even in mobiles under 50,000. The good thing, it has 256GB storage with 8GB RAM.
The display of Vivo Y400 is decent enough in this price range. It has an AMOLED 120Hz screen with a peak brightness of 1800 nits. So, bright outdoor conditions will not impact visibility much.
Now, the cameras of Vivo Y400 haven’t really impressed me much. The 50MP rear camera is still decent but the selfie camera has been downgraded from 32MP in the Y200 to 8MP this model. I know that the pixel count is not the true representation of the picture quality but the difference between its predecessor’s pixels and the megapixels of this model is huge.
If I see its battery, it has improved from its precursor as the Y400 has a Si/C Li-Ion 6000 mAh battery which doesn’t only last longer but is also durable. But the charging speed has been reduced from 80W in the Y200 to 44W now which is again a downgrade.
As AI is common these days, this phone comes with some builtin AI features like AI Image Studio, AI Erase 2.0, AI Photo Enhancer, etc. to make everyday editing easier and fun.
Conclusion
So, is the Vivo Y400 price in Pakistan justified as per its specs and features? Well, it’s an amazing mobile if I see the water resistance, drop resistance, and large battery. But when I look at the mobile’s performance, downgrades in selfie camera and charging speed, it doesn’t look too promising. Also, even when I compare it with the mobiles under 50,000 like Infinix Hot 60 Pro or Tecno Spark 40 Pro, it lacks behind in these areas. Now, the choice is yours as per your requirements. It would have been a decent choice if it was launched under Rs. 50,000.
