Vivo Y400 Launching Soon in Pakistan

Vivo is getting ready to launch its new Y400 in Pakistan, and the date is now confirmed, September 2. I’ve been keeping an eye on the updates, and the main highlight so far is its durability, which Vivo has been pushing quite a lot in the teasers.

The phone carries an IP69 rating, which is usually seen in higher-end devices. In simple terms, it can handle water and dust pretty well. Tests show it can stay underwater for about half an hour at a depth of 1.5 meters, and it even managed to survive hot water jets at 80°C. There are also a couple of extra touches, like the screen staying responsive when wet and some tweaks to the camera for clearer shots underwater.

Battery-wise, the Y400 comes with a 6000mAh unit and supports 44W fast charging. That’s a pretty big capacity, and Vivo has used a lighter cell type to keep the phone from feeling overly bulky.

The display is a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Brightness can go up to 1800 nits, so outdoor visibility shouldn’t be much of an issue.

For performance, it’s running on the Snapdragon 685. It’s a 6nm chip that can go up to 2.8GHz. It handles everyday use just fine, though since it’s a 4G processor, it’s not built for high-end gaming or 5G speeds.

As for the cameras, there’s a 50MP main lens with a 2MP secondary sensor on the back, while the front has an 8MP selfie camera. On the software side, the phone will come with Android 15 along with Vivo’s FunTouch OS 15.

The Y400 will be available in Dynamic Green and Pearl White. The official price hasn’t been announced yet, but with the launch only a couple of days away, that detail will be out soon.
