The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has announced that strict action will be taken against the user in this condition. No More Illegal Use of SIM Cards
The PTA has strictly announced that in any case of misusing the SIM card, either for calls, texting, or other activities, the registered user will be held accountable. This simply highlights the importance of using the SIM cards registered under the user’s name; it will be a violation of the regulations.
If you are wondering how this initiative is helpful so here is your answer. This system ensures transparency of the registered users, and any consumer involved in fraudulent activities can be easily detected. Therefore, this initiative will ensure the security, stability, and reliability of the system.
Under one CNIC, the following is allowed by PTA:
- Maximum of five voice SIMs
- Three data SIMs
Now, make sure these SIMs in your mobile phones are only used for personal usage and avoid getting them registered for others to prevent legal action against you.

To sum up, a few months back, PTA also announced to block the unregistered mobile phone devices, and this time has advised to get get SIM registered under your own name. Users who fail to meet this requirement will be solely responsible for the usage and will experience strict action.
