Over the past three days, kite and string sales have already crossed Rs. 54 crore. It was also announced that the 500,000 kites were sold in the city in just one day. However, this Basant 2026 festival had a great impact on the economy, leading to workshops being opened late at night. For instance, the Peshawar’s historic YakaToot Bazaar worked day and night and sent thousands of kites and strings to Lahore. 

The festival is back in the city after decades, which brought more excitement and thrill to them. Well, this revival of Basant 2026 came with the strict rules, such as the metal and chemical-coated strings being strictly banned, along with free transportation for the citizens. 

In short, all the excitement among people and governments’ strict rules led to a massive boom in the kite and string market in just three days.
