Islamabad Ends Fast Track Driving License System
The Islamabad traffic police has been advised not to grant the fast-track driving system by the police officials. One of the reasons for this initiative is illegal shortcuts and involving unfair ways, and exploitation for financial purposes. Islamabad traffic police is now strictly advised not to allow anyone to skip the learner’s period of 42 days. The learner’s period ensures that the driver practices and learns the traffic rules and regulations before appearing for the test.
A few months back, the traffic police also advised the vehicle owners or drivers to have proper documentation and a license with them. If any driver fails to have an authentic license will experience legal consequences. Well, this warning worked as an advantage, as many motorists applied for a license. On the other hand, the Islamabad traffic police registered cases against those driving without licenses.
In short, the officials made it clear that the learner permit is the first step of the procedure and can not be waived off. Besides this, it was recorded that the 79,390 learner permits were issued, out of which 80% were allowed to skip the learner’s period. 48,327 candidates passed the test, including theory and road test, and out of which 31,551 candidates actually received the license.
