M-Tag Now Made Mandatory for Bikes in Islamabad

M-tag is an electronic method for collecting toll taxes on the motorway. After being used for vehicles for so long, the M-tags are now made mandatory for bikes in Islamabad. Irfan Nawaz Memon, the Islamabad Deputy Commissioner, made a recent announcement to extend the M-tag to bikes as well. Let’s have a look at it in detail. 

M-Tag For Bikes in Islamabad

Installation of M-Tags on motorcycles will start from February 20, 2026, at 10 am. There are total of 13 designated points for the installation of M-Tags in the city. Make sure you take the registration documents and your National Identity card (CNIC) with you. 

This new bike rule in Islamabad is applicable to all the motorcycles, whether heavy bikes or ride-hailing. The officials also announced that over 600,000 vehicles have received M-Tags, and now it’s time for bikes to get the M-Tags.
