The first phase of the scheme includes the distribution of 1,100 electric vehicles, with the 60% down payment for women and 50% for men. The Chief Minister also highlighted that this will enable the drivers to earn Rs 150,000 to Rs 200,000 per month.
Overall, the scheme has a subsidy of up to Rs. 4 billion on these 1,100 electric cars.
