OLX launched in Pakistan in 2011 and begin marketing on ATL and digital channels from January 2012 onwards. Since its launch OLX has grown tremendously and has become the largest online classifieds in the country.

In June 2016, OLX has updated its Pakistan specific app and website to improve user experience, with features like “in-app chat”, with number hiding for privacy.‘Phone Verification”, giving buyers and sellers a more personalized, easy and secure process. Other recently launched features include “Push Notifications”, “Creating a wish list of favourite ads”, and “Saved Searches in the app”, provide a personalized buying and selling experience
OLX has launched their new TV campaign featuring famous celebrities. The purpose of the new TV ad is to instigate the “desire to sell”. This insight is directly linked with the need to sell items, either out of necessity or desire. OLX has brought on board Mohib Mirza and Ahsin Khan as the brand endorsers. They have a lot of fan following and their OLX testimony will appeal to masses who are looking to sell their mobile, electronics or car added Bilal. The communication has the tagline of “Zamanay kay saath chaltay raho, OLX kartay raho”. The notion is symbolize OLX as the lifestyle choice / keeping pace with changing trends when one decides to buy or sell. Secondly, “OLX kartay raho” is make OLX synonymous to everyday common lingo as Search to “Google”
OLX has been actively communicating with its potential and current users through social media platforms like facebook, Instagram and twitter. Infact, OLX brand has the largest fan following on Facebook with 3 mio+ followers.
