What’s new with Microsoft in 2016?
This year seems to have started with a world of updates, where the smartphone industry is concerned. While other telecomm giants are introducing updates to their software, Microsoft’s loyal customers were recently teased about a major update to the company’s signature Window’s Live Tiles.
So, what does this mean for Microsoft users? Well, the company hasn’t provided much information regarding the updates but what we do know is that Microsoft intends on making the Window’s Live Tiles a lot more interactive than they already are.
Here’s what the notes for a meeting between Microsoft Build’s developers read: We are building on the foundation of Action Center to give developers greatly increased flexibility in Adaptive Toasts. We will introduce a powerful API that enables a new class of apps to plug into the Notification pipeline and provide innovative experiences for users. Live Tiles are evolving with two highly-requested surprises that you won’t want to miss.
What could these ‘highly-requested’ surprises be?
Some are speculating that Window’s Live Tiles could become more functional. For example, rather than clicking on a Tile to read our emails, we might be able to scroll through emails on the Tile itself.
But that’s all we know so far!
In the meanwhile if you’re looking for an Android or iPhone, you could always trade in your Windows phone and get yourself a phone you like on OLX!
