How to Ensure Your Final Round Interview Lands You the Job
You’re always thinking “Oh, will I or won’t I get the job?” after that final interview. There’s no way to determine the right answer which makes matters worse.
But is there any way to ensure you’ll land the job?
In one word: Yes.
Well, don’t be afraid to brag a little. I know it might not seem appropriate at first, but the interviewer can’t and won’t assume facts about you. Everything’s taken at face value- if you say your blog has increased a fashion company’s sales, your interviewer will trust what you’re saying to be true. Interviewers don’t have the time to verify what you’re telling them and they’re excellent at judging interviewees.
However, do talk about your weaknesses. It’s good to show you’re aware there’s always room for improvement. This way, you’d seem like a more honest, welcoming, open and humble candidate.
Be open and ensure that your body language reflects your openness, too. Don’t be afraid to laugh or to crack a few jokes. This is more likely to get you the job. This is something that many candidates forget or aren’t aware of but body language matters- A LOT. It enables interviewers to judge whether you’re telling the truth or would truly be a good fit for their organization. Body language is what gives interviewers the ‘vibe’ that you’re ready to handle the responsibilities your position comes with.
Show you’re interested by asking questions pertaining to your tasks; what is expected of you and how you can contribute to the betterment of the organization. Ask questions which make your genuine concern, for and in the organization, obvious. For example, you could ask where the company stands in the market, currently, and what you could do to improve its standing.
